Tiny black spots on the back of my 57 50th Anniversary Mary Kay Stratocaster, bad QC?

I have a 50th Anniversary 1957 Strat White (Mary Kay) and I just noticed several tiny (size of a pin) black spots (it looks like black ink) on the back (nothing in front) of the strat.

The case is the standard Fender Tweed case and I can't see anything that could have caused this from the case.

Strat was bought new at Sam Ash when they closed them out (possibly the closeout 57 strats were blems because of these spots?)

I tried to clean off the spots but they wouldn't come out. It almost looks like the spots were on the wood and then the nitro was put on.

Guitar plays great but just wondering if anyone can determine why this happened.

Thanks

Well,...back in those days, a black spot on a woman's face was considered a "beauty mark" and was considered sexy. But not on her ass.

If the spots are in the actual wood, they're there to stay. You might count them all as, knowing their numbers would be great at identification of 'said item'.
