Members offbyone Posted January 19, 2011 Members Posted January 19, 2011 im thinking about putting a bare knuckle holy diver in the bridge of my fender classic players HH jag. i have a super distortion in there now, and its not not quite there for my taste. i was going to get a rio grande bbq bucker, but then someone suggested that i check out bare knuckle pickups. ive read the holy diver works very well in lighter bolt on neck guitars, like a jag or a strat. (i try to get big rock tone, tight articulate palm mute, very hot sound but retains clarity, etc etc) anyone have any experience with these pickups?
Members HELSTRUME Posted January 20, 2011 Members Posted January 20, 2011 Not likely here. Ask in amps, or www.rig-talk.com
Members Guitar Heel Posted January 20, 2011 Members Posted January 20, 2011 I've never gotten to play any, but the PG Blues set has me very intrigued. The price is a little though.
Members seantz Posted January 20, 2011 Members Posted January 20, 2011 I've had a pair of HSS american strats that had BK pups in the bridges. A nailbomb in one and a miracle man in the other. THe miracle man seemed a little darker and thicker to my ears. Big powerfull and full sounding. The nailbomb was a little clearer sounding and single notes seemed to pop more. It was more colorful sounding if that makes sense. Both sounded great under tons of gain and cleaned up well too. No experience with the holy diver but I'd recommend either one of these in a heartbeat.......
Members Josh S Posted January 20, 2011 Members Posted January 20, 2011 I adore Bare Knuckle pickups. They really are amazing. I've never used the ones you're looking at, but if their other examples are any indication the ones you want will be amazingly well built, have incredible attention to detail, and sound like a million bucks. I have their mules and riff raff humbuckers, and they are really great. I also have their blackguard tele bridge pickup in one of my teles, and it is by a long long long shot the best tele pickup I've ever heard in my life. Just unbelievable. They also have quick shipping and killer customer service. I recommend them to everybody.

Members Willyguitar Posted January 20, 2011 Members Posted January 20, 2011 They are very good. Expensive, but that's mainly because they put effort in and are based on this rather expensive island.
