Members PsychWarfare
If they were to produce it...you know it would be obscenely expensive... It is pretty cool looking...

Members Wyatt
It's an old prototype. In 2005, Gibson rolled out four of five Soldano-designed, hand-wired amps...the GA-5, GA-20RVT (15 watts), GA-40RVT (30 watts), GA-50H. The fifth was supposed to be the SLO-based, Soldano-built, limited Goldtop (MSRP $6,000) but Gibson pulled the plug after the prototype(s?) were delivered. Members Elias Graves
$6000? Would not! EG
Members theManfromAlabam
6K no way, but a head and cab build close to that finish config wouldn't be very difficult. Great re-house idea.
Members Doctor Morbius
Looks great. Too expensive for this cat though.
Members guitarman3001
hrmm....I wonder if my palomino head could be refinished like that. Would match my LP goldtop pretty nicely!!
Members fu2jobu
I like the head, the cab not so much.
Members Wyatt
Well, I think Mike Soldano gave his assumptions for why the amp was canceled in a interview I read sometime. I don't think any of the Soldano/Gibson partnerhsip amps are in production anymore.
Members JoeBoy
For 6k it better be great with not spending money and have no gag reflex.
Members Wyatt
Well I'll assume the $6K is the MSRP, so the street price may have been lower, but a real SLO will run you $3700 NEW street price ($2200-$2700 USED).
Members Josh S
I've seen that pic before, but to be honest it never fails to amaze.
