My local Sam Ash has a Help Wanted sign in the window. My stepdad talked to the guys in there and got me an application. I've tried to get in before but apparently I couldn't because I'm not 18. I don't know what my stepdad said but he got me the paperwork. I've filled it out and handed it in for a position in the electric guitar section. I'm supposed to get a call to set up an interview. I'm really psyched. Wish me luck

Good luck.

Which store?

If he gets the job will he be the next clerk you'll start a thread about because he didn't know something like all the ingredients that make up the glue in one of your guitars' neck joints?

LOL! Watch out kid.

By the way, good luck on your quest. I prefer Sam Ash to GC.

Give it a rest.

If he gets the gig, I'll stop by to say hello and give some moral support.

Thanks for the support guys :thu:

I dropped off the application on the 15th and waited and waited. They told me they'd call to set up an interview and so far they didn't. I went there on wednesday to see if everything was in order. I think the guy there was testing my patience, because he took 25 minutes talking to someone about speakers just to tell me that the manager wasn't in and to call friday (today) and talk to him.

After that I went down back and shot the breeze with a two employees about black-top fenders and bugera amps, respectively. For some reason "hot rod" came out of my mouth, not black top. I hope that doesn't affect my chances there  The guy I was talking about amps to was pretty nice; I walked over, put the amp on standby, turned my back for a second and he was already plugging a cable in for me. I didn't even see him walk up. I feel like I surprised him though; He offered to put the amp onto a dirt setting and I declined saying I prefered the cleans. Keep in mind I'm the typical long hair/emo looking kid. His face even looked surprised

Today I called up, finally talked to the manager. He said he still had my application (even reading parts of it off, like my name and what department I chose to work in) and said that he wasn't setting anything up just yet "this week," and that he'll deffinitly give me a call when he does.
