Members milk.
i recently modded my guitar to have each pickup going directly to its own output jack. when i plug them both into the mixer equal volume it comes together very quiet with almost no low mids. then i do the same thing this time with a stereo pedal in bypass, it sounds much fuller! an almost flat eq range. i know this has something to do with the pedals buffer bypass but i dont see how that would change the phase of the pickups in relation to each other. Members Flatspotter
Most likely, the mixer's relatively low impedance inputs are loading down the pickups, causing the low volume and bad sound. The pedal has a much higher input impedance so it doesn't load the pickups nearly as much.
Members Bro Blue
The guitar is upset because you have done this, the pickups are upset you have done this, your pedals do not like you anymore, and the mixer is ticked off you brought him into it. Take them all to dinner, maybe dancing, and start sending them all flowers "for no reason, other than I love you."
