Members Xenoanthropus
New or used? Used, I don't think I could do better than a 90's ESP Mirage, or, on a really lucky day, an Ibanez UV7BK. New, Agile Interceptor 828 Pro. Members cratz2
I honestly don't have any $1,000 guitars on the horizon. I'd like to get a really nice, reasonably lightweight LP Classic in Butterscotch or Amber, but I doubt that will be less than about $1,600. If I had $1,000, I'd get a used Dr Z Rx Jr head. If it HAD to be a guitar, I'd probably build up a slightly non-traditional tele... mini hum in the neck, something thicker than a standard bridge tele pickup in the bridge... Maybe an oil-finished dark wood or maybe transparent black or black burst.

Members crashclc
I've got the most hideous case of gas for the P90 version of these, so I'd snag it and keep the 600-odd bucks change for something else.

Members billybilly
You can get a PRS mira in oz for $1000??!! . I have seen used ones for around 1000 all the time, but not here. I buy my guitars from North America and get them shipped here. Although, prices are beginning to get a little better down under. New American Standard strats have gone from $2000 to $1500. However, I did buy mine brand new from the states for $800, shipping was $150.
