Do my eyes deceive me, or does he only have one Vox in that whole pile of amps? Heresy, I say.

From the right side, 4th row...the head on the top looks familiar.
I think Joe has the same Kendrick Gusher (beaumont version) like mine....or I have the same as Joe's.

I'm new and I don't know Bbreaker but on the topic of huge collections: If someone wants to amass mountains of guitars, I say go for it. :) Whatever makes your heart happy, do it.

I'm not that way, though. I'd rather have 3 or so guitars that I play constantly and feel I rely on than a few dozen that are so much alike that some of them collect dust while I stick to my favorites. I play favorites anyway so if I had a trillion guitars, I would probably only use 3 or 4. Simplicity in all things but that's just how I feel. Bbreaker's collection is amazing and something he should be proud of. :) (Also, Great Dane's collection blows my mind)

From the first time I ever posted on here I took notice of Bbreakers killer gear and more important what a cool guy he is. I do not know how anyone could not appreciate the killer guitars he has, or to just check them out as great guitar porn. In the last three years I have seen some go and some new ones take there place and I enjoy checking them all out. Some serious guitar history!

Bonamassa is just a beast and can easily rip off a killer jazz or country run as easy as he can a rock or blues. I knew he was going to make it from when I saw that documentary on channel 13 on him when he was 16 and the late great Danny Gatton was his teacher at the time. Funny he was in that band Bloodline at the time which was made up of all famous musicians offspring except for him, and he is the one that made it. I dig that he is heavy into EBMM guitars these days as so am I after 25 plus years of Fenders, they go well together.

Bbreaker know what you mean about the logistics market running super slow. I am an operations manager for a logistics firm and man are we super slow.. down 71% from 3 years ago.. Also always enjoy seeing your gear. Where else besides looking all over the net would I find only a few of the guitars you have,, nice to be able to open your posts and see them one after another.

Biz is really down.

I think the economy has leveled off to where it'll be like this for at least another 4 years.

No matter what gov officials tell us, the economy is not on the rise.

The only thing that the government produces is a deficit. No matter how much the budget is, the government will mismanage, spend more than what they have and make speeches patting themselves on their backs. They ride off into the sunset with a golden parachute while the working stiff pays for their sins.

5 years ago, I had 15 active customers.....12 of which gave me truck work. I'm down to 5 customers and 2 give me truck work.

I've lost $80k a year......... No bail out for me.

Anyway, I'm making enough to keep the roof over our heads.

I'm thankful for that.

if it aint playing it aint staying?

how many hours a week do you have to play guitar?

how often do you make it thorugh rotation..

im not hating on any one here but..

i have seven and 2 are out of rotation for months now..

so... i find it way hard to belelieve that the lion share of those guitars are in rotation..

collecting is fine,, but thats what it is.. man..

there are worse thing to collect..

Well considering he's been playing since 1967 he's had plenty of time to not only amass an impressive collection but also to play them. And the definition of regular rotation is probably a lot different since he can't possibly get to them all in a day let alone a week or possibly even a month, but over the course of a year or so I'm sure everything gets touched at some point or at least to the point that he considers it 'regular'.

Yes his collection is ridiculous. Ridiculously awesome. :thu:

I don't know if I'd own that much gear if I had the money, but I sure as hell wouldn't mind it one bit.

There are other HC'ers that have loads of cool gear..............GreatDane; Armitage; Guitarmandp; Blackhathunter; Azcat; Flogger59....I love to have us all meet and each bring 10 guitars that are special to us. Play em; jam; talk shop....fun stuff. We'll wow ourselves to the point of being humbled and realize that were all fortunate.

Thanks for the props, Lou. I came in to this thread thinking that you would be taking some stick, and I was right. Bbreaker has a collection that I aspire to, but likely won't amass in this lifetime, but I sure am happy that I have what I have. When you have been playing and buying for as long as Lou, or myself, you see fads come and go, and what's out of fashion tends to go cheap. When the Floyd Rose craze hit in the early 80's, you could pick up Rickys and Les Pauls all day long for stupid cheap. I myself have been in musical sales for 30 years,so I have lived in music stores pretty much my whole life in a territory that nearly covers half of Canada. Pre eBay was the Klondike for deals, today not so much.

Lou has the eye to recognize good instruments, and is discriminating enough to want the best examples that he can find. His collection is the result of his good taste, and dedication to the pursuit of the guitar. He deserves them, and I quite enjoy his contribution.

My point being that it's subjective, once a year over 5 years isn't much; once a year since 1967 adds up. It's all based on perspective. He's got a lot of guitars and he's old. Really old. I mean really, really old....with lots of guitars :poke: ...old.

Maybe too old to play one or two of his LPs... Shoot 'em over here, I could use one! :p

I have 26 but most are el-cheapo. I have 8 Epi LP's ;which is just stupid, I guess but I got sorta collecting them, chasing the odd finishes like sparkle tops and the colored flames that they did for awhile. I need to thin that down to about 3 or 4. I certainly don't use them all as I'm a home studio guy. Other than that it's Mexican Strats & Teles, an acrylic BC Rich Mockingbird, Samick stuff, entry level Iceman.
