Frets99
20 watts. Only played it low cause they were having lessons but I like low gain a lot anyway. I thought it sounded pretty nice with a strat. Might pop over after lessons on Friday and turn her up some. I don't need one but 20 watt tube amp that sounds good for $300 is nothing to sneeze at. Members xStonr
I was considering one when they first came out but I don't need a 20 watt amp for playing at home. I ended up with the 5 watt Blackstar.
Members benzem
I have heard clips and they do sound good, but I wonder about the quality/reliability. Being from the N.W. and a big fan of Soldano, I wanted to like them but I dunno. Aren't they chinese made? Think I will save up for a slo.
Members joecool1963
I have the 20 watt head and 1x12 and have been playing it live for almost a year. no problems. Members scott944
I think that's their (Jet City's) business MO - big name designer (Soldano, THD), offshore manufacturing. I tried the 20 watt combo and traded my Blues Junior for it the next day. Months later I still love it. Only problem I've seen discussed is flashing/dimming pilot lights, though it has no effect on the sound. Tube swaps are popular and cheap. I also look forward to the rumored 2 channel version. That's interesting. I like Blues Jrs. Folks say they squawk out at higher volumes but at lower volumes I find them pretty rich sounding. However, my initial response to the Jet City was that at lower volumes it had a livelier response. A nice grind that jumps right out at you while still retaining a fullness. Members scott944
The thing about the BJ is that it can't do the living room volume rock thing without pedal help. I was using an RP-100, then an RP-500, but couldn't find a higher gain tone that I really liked in those boxes, even after much tweaking. Gone back to a complete luddite setup - guitar(s), wah, maybe a little phaser, amp. Don't have immediate access to hundreds of sounds any more, but never used 'em anyway. Members streetknight
For those that have or have played the 20 watt Jet City....Would this be ok for home use or do you have to crank it too loud to get a decent tone from it. I need a new amp and been looking @ these on line.

Members jhall
I have a JCA 112RC (1x12" combo with reeverb). It sounds a bit anemic at really low volumes but sounds excellent at moderate (read loud but not uncomfortably so) volume levels. It is a steal at $299.99 IMHO
Members Meowy
I bought the combo, it arrived - and from the moment I plugged it in and turned it on I was totally underwhelmed. I tried to like it but in the end, back it went. Just an anecdotal aside - - making a statement like this on the amps forum is like speaking negaitvely about GFS or Agile around here. Members atrox
Big fan myself. The 100 is a beast, but much more tamable than my old 2203. Build quality is great for a chinese amp. The Iron is well selected and manufactured to Mike Soldano's specs. Components are good. It's a very solid amp. Was considering getting the 2112 combo, but they are releasing a 2 channel version with loop for $400 this spring.

I need a new amp and been looking @ these on line. I have the JCA50 Head and I play it at home all the time. You can play it real quiet, barely above 1, and it sounds great. The overdrive is spongy sounding but very clear with great harmonics. If I was going to record with it at home, it would be perfect. Then When you turn it up the tone changes, the overdrive sort of tightens up if you will, really packs that AC/DC crunch. It's sounds best loud but you can get awesome tones at minimal volume. Point is, I imagine the 20 watt version is similar, although it is just the crunch channel of the 50/100. From what I've seen a newer version is coming out that is called the JCA22H and will feature the crunch channel and the Overdrive channel like the 50 and 100. And for the poster who questioned reliability, this amp is like a tank. You can do whatever you want to it. I've had it for about 6 months and have played a ton of gigs out and about and no problems so far!

Members GilmourD
walmart sells them, at least online, that is. Who would have thunk it? Apparently, according to the owner of Jet City, Walmart is actually not an authorized reseller. What he thinks happened is that one of the companies that is authorized made a deal with Walmart for them to buy a bunch of amps, but I hadn't read anything past that discovery. The prices at Walmart suck, too.

Members SGRocker30
The announcement of the JCA22H seems to have knocked the price of the JCA20 down to $250 most places online.
Members Squier Fat Telecaster
I have the 20 watt combo and it sounds great with my telecasters, Very touch responsive and sparkly with that Soldono overdrive. You can't get a good cleans with humbuckers but not too shabby with single coils.

Members Yarbicus
A/B with a Booger V22. I have owned both and much prefer the JCA. Nothing wrong with the Bugera; it is great for what a very straightforward, 2-channel combo. However, even with only one channel, I find that the JCA has a better range of tones. I use pedals, anyways, so the channel switching isn't much of a necessity... ...but I am still craving a JCA22H!
