Members Prages Posted January 31, 2011 Members Posted January 31, 2011 Recorded this on an old Fostex 4 track just for kicks. Did 3 tracks of drums, then dumped them to 1 track. Then did a bass track and mixed it with the drums. Then two backing vocal tracks and a lead vocal track dumped to one track. Then two guitar tracks. I Love Rock And Roll First time I've used the 4 track cassette recorder in about 15 years.

Members DaleH Posted January 31, 2011 Members Posted January 31, 2011 That's pretty good sound and playing.
Members Fusion1 Posted January 31, 2011 Members Posted January 31, 2011 If I never heard the Joan Jett version back in the 80's and this was the version on the radio back then, I'd be sure this was Twisted Sister's newest hit single. Hell their career may have ended differently or taken a different turn if this was their song back then.
Members AXEL276 Posted January 31, 2011 Members Posted January 31, 2011 I still have more old Fostex 4 track. I'm not sure what to do with it, not worth selling. Maybe some day they'll came back in big demand, LoL. Nice recording!
Members MorganB Posted January 31, 2011 Members Posted January 31, 2011 Great recording... sounds like the original Allan Merril version...
Members Prages Posted January 31, 2011 Author Members Posted January 31, 2011 Thanks for listening and commenting guys.I really did this just to prove to myself that I can still record even without unlimited tracks and overdubs and plugins.
