Members GAS Man
.I will never have any money to blow on hookers and drugs if I keep this up! Well that's what I always say to the majority of mortals who don't understand GAS collections, i.e. "Better than hookers and crack!"

Members fiveoclockhero
Please to explain? Did you buy this with these mods already finished or did you do them yourself? In either case, WHY? Not that I'm being critical, mind you. I actually dig it because it's so odd, I'm just curious of its origin story.

It used to be black: I put a Duncan Phat Cat in the bridge. I liked that sound, and the middle single sound but got bored with the looks. I then Krylon'd it. I wanted the pickups to match (both be chrome) but didn'twant lipsticks, so I got a Duncan Vintage for Tele rhythm pickup. I ordered a custom guard and simplified the electronics. After awhile, I put a HB in the bridge. Dindn't like it, but was using the Phat Cat in another guitar so I got a GFS Mean 90 in there now and it's just right. I've never seen that specific pickup combination in a Strat before. You've got a very one-of-a-kind guitar. I like it a lot. You gotta love the infinte customizability of Fenders. I like it a lot. You gotta love the infinte customizability of Fenders. Yeah, I tried hard to make it very usable, but also very unique, and not all weird looking (like one mini hum, one single, one tele single, one p 90, and one regular HB... too cazy) I wanted different but tasteful, I think I pulled it off. Le me know if you see someone else with the same thing and we will battle! Much appreciate the compliments, this was actually my first mod-job. Something else neat that happend was my lack of painting knowledge working to my advantage. I had never painted anything so I just roughed up the black all over and started in with the blue. Regular wal-mart Krylon, and Krylon clear coat. I only waited a few hours (say, 14 at most, 4 at the least) between coats and the only sanding I did was with those brown paper towels just to kinda smooth it... not a painter. So anyhoo, once I got the clear coat on and felt it was dry, I took it home and assembled it, about a month later, I notice all these tiny cracks in the places with the thickest bits of clear. It's just from me using crappy clear coat, not applying enough, and not sanding right, but it looks so awesome. It's like its 50 years old. They're hard to take a picture of, but you can kinda see what I mean on the upper horn in this photo. Far right, where the light is shining on the corner there... I dunno, it's just my fav guitar, my first one. I loves it. You can come play it and poke at it if you're ever round these parts. It plays phenomenally, the dude that sold id to me at GC was into rockabilly and punk too so, he pretty much made me get a fat strat (was gonna get a regular one), so thank god for that. He also set it up like an absolute pro (after searching for the best playing one in the store), and gave me 2 more vibrato springs so that the bridge would sit flush with the body and make the tuning more stable as he knew I would do a lot of palm mutes. It's been taken apart, and right when I put it back together, it STILL played perfectly. Sorry to rant, I'm bored, and no one ever asks me what's up with it. Now, ahem, BBREAKER! I WANT TO SEE MORE PICTURES OF YOUR WHITE PRS WITH THE P 90S!!!!!!! Please?
