So my wife looks at me with a bit of panic in her eyes this morning and wanted me to ensure her that we were prepared for tonight's storm. Naturally, I reassured her that we were. She then asked how will the dogs go outside to go to the bathroom if the snow covers the door. I told her that we have shovels and a snowblower. That didn't seem to make a difference in her anxiety.

Finally I looked at her, pointed to my knee and to make sure she knew we were only expecting 16". Then her expression returned to normal and look of calm swept over her and she said, "Oh... I was thinking 16 feet!"

We're a bit covered in ice in Indy. I haven't even been out side to see how bad it really is.

Last night when it first hit, I walked outside to throw down a bit of anticipatory salt and it was VERY slick... Then we went down to the store about 1.5 miles away and it wasn't as bad... then about 1am I went out side at the end of the hardest/fastest bit of freezing and it was VERY slick.

It's OK though... At least we don't live in Buffalo or Cleveland. They don't have it any worse for the storm, I'd just REALLY hate to live in Buffalo or Cleveland.

Got up early to beat the flakes, but they were already on the road when I got there. Made it into the parking lot when the snow began to fall. 3 inches and more expected. I'm leaving at noon and probably will not be in the office tomorrow. Warwick R.I. to Norwood, MA 55 min not bad. Ride home probably 2 hours.
