Members Eddie
After being totally unimpressed by Gibson and selling my Les Pauls, here's one that I would probably enjoy: http://www.vintageguitars.org.uk/gibsonVictoryMVX.php I only need to go back in time

Members TomCray
There was one in my local craigslist for a decent price a short while back. I was always wondering how they were.
Members Absolving
You are too sophisticated for a Les Paul...they are soooooo pedestrian!
Members fiveoclockhero
I think Gibson had a "Strat envy" phase in the 80's. I've seen some Gibby superstrats from that era, as well. The coolest thing about these quirky, offbeat rarities is that you'd be the only cat playing one. If this were in 25.5" scale length and easily obtainable, I'd like to get my hands on one, just to try.
Members Eddie
There was one in my local craigslist for a decent price a short while back. I was always wondering how they were. I was reading The Guitar Magazine (1993) and read very positive comments about these guitars. When I first got the magazine in 1993 I don't recall being interested on that model, but now all these years later, I'm really curious about them. Members LaXu
That is actually pretty good. I guess this was made back when Gibson still understood flowing lines and symmetry.

I wouldn't trust a review in a magazine unless they had a proven track record of not being afraid to give a negative review.

Members tim gueguen
There ws a Pelham Blue example in the local Long and McQuade a few months back. Felt nice. Didn't stay very long, so someone else thought it was worth the time.
Members RVIVR
I don't care for it. Played one at a guitar shop in NYC once, and while it was kinda cool with the offbeat vibe of it and all, I found the pickups to be kind of lifeless and the guitar to be way too heavy, which is kind of deceptive given the shape. Of course, electronics can be changed, so YMMV.

Looks pretty homely to me. I'm guessing the buying public didn't cheer with $$.

They also made a more blatant strat copy called the USA-1. Never got to try one, but I heard they played like butter. Ebony fretboard and all. IIRC, they were pretty expensive and burst finished. That's what did 'em in, everyone wanted color finishes.
