meh...
:idk:

they're not bad but they seem a little "flavor of the month" too me...and the month is over.

Maybe because of that Dethklok Explorer but I have loved silverburst finishes for awhile now  Maybe it'll go away when i buy one

I love silverburst! Probably one of my favorite finishes, especially for Les Pauls. My dream guitar is probably a late 70's early 80s Les Paul custom ( yes, I know they turn a bit green with age). Adam Jones of tool plays one. One of the guys from Mastodon also play one. I have a strat in a sort of reverse silverburst that I really like also.

EDIT :Anyone know whats up with the tuners in that last pic??

Both Brent AND Bill from the 'Don have Silverburst guitars -- lots of 'em.

Brent also has a Silverburst V, and his custom First Acts are, as well.

And I think Bill also has a Silverburst First Act and maybe Silverburst Explorer.

If the rumors of a Metalocalypse Flying V are true after the Explorer comes out, I can be tempted if it's a silverburst.

i really like silverburst finishes. my first "real" guitar was this '79 Silverburst. it's been all across the US and to europe. i have her in semi-permanent retirement, but i take her out every once in a while and all the good memories come flooding back.

recently i found a killer deal on another '79 silverburst that was distressed enough that i figure i can play it without too much concern about wear and tear. this one sounds almost as good as my first; almost.

Ha, gotta love all the folks that hate silverburst and post in a thread titled "Who loves Silverburst as much as me?"

Yes, I love Silverburst but also do not have one. Some great pics posted here.

GD, love that silverburst - and the new one too! Very classy.

So good, I'll bump those pics to page 2...
