Members chuck1016
Someone once said to me, "What's the point of writing music if no one gets to hear it?"My obvious answer was, "It's fun, that's the whole point!" But, I have to admit, since I don't see a band forming around this music anytime soon, I might as well put it out there for others to enjoy. With that in mind I made up an imaginary band and put my surf tunes up on Sound Click last night. Take a listen, let me know what you think. http://www.soundclick.com/theterrarians

Members chuck1016
Thanks guys Loved it! Great tunes. Are you playing a strat on those tracks?Yep, almost everything was done on my HW1 with GFS Premium IIs.I use the neck/bridge position ("Gilmour switch") a lot to fake a Jaguar sound. I ran everything into a TonePort and used the Blackface 'Lux model with a heavy spring. It doesn't sound as good as a real amp, but I like the way it turned out. Members notjonahbutnoah
{censored} yeah surf. I REALLY wanna start a surf side-project. Love me some surf. If caps lock is the cruise control for cool, then surf is the official cool soundtrack to anything. Edit: Great tones, I was surprised to see it was a model. Members MyNameIsMok...
I love the Terrarium concept, and of course I am an unrepentant 60's geek. The only thing I miss in those songs is a smokin' hot live drummer with multiple breaks and a trio of scantily clad go-go dancers.
Members mmkco
Cool tunes! I really like your philosophy on music. I feel the same way(don't really like to play in front of people). I'm stuck in 20 below weather and feel like I should be at the beach. That's the beauty of your music!! Thanks for posting those, nice work. Members d_dave_c
Nice! I love the surf, and the blues and alt country-ish tunes were bitchin' as well. Thanks for sharing those.
Members cratz2
Sounds absolutely great! I'll definitely check them out so more, but definitely diggin the first one!
Members chuck1016
Wow, thanks for the enthusiasm everyone! I expected 4 or 5 people to say "cool" and that's about it. But it seems you guys really dig it. I'm working on more, but getting free time and inspiration to coincide is a little tricky now that I'm working again (thank God!) If anyone else has originals or surf covers that you've done, by all means, POST EM HERE! Thanks to Axe for getting that ball rolling (Love the guitar tone and the organ on Craggy Blues BTW!)
