Members dmc69
I saw it and HAD to have it. For 300 (60 off for us Canucks), it was too good a deal to pass, especially with this neck. And it's not some crappy sporadic flame either. It's... wow. And it's on a Squier! WTF? Most American Fender guitars don't even have this kind of flame! I'm thouroughly surprised at this. Good on ya, Squier. Oh, yeah. It feels great and plays well lol. I didn't even try it out before I bought it, but damn, I was too infatuated with the neck haha. Members Fireproof777
Nice! I've got a Squire that has an amazingly flamed neck as well....I think they sneak out of the factory every now and then. HNGD!
Members Lonnie99
I've had a couple of Squiers like that. Nice!
Members MyNameIsMok...
China is actually about to get into some hot water because they are using so much premium wood in their manufacturing (according to NPR). Something about not being upfront about their forest clearing environmental policies. I just got an incredible Chinese Tele (Not a Fender). It's so nice, I kind of feel guilty that some rare maple forest was raped for my musical delight.
Members Wulver
.....I'll buy that neck from you if you want.
Members drawdeep
Yeah, I saw a Chinese Squier in a pawn shop that had THE MOST AMAZING FLAME I had ever seen... we are talking deep, 3D flame like you would see on a Custom Shop or a Suhr... unfortunately, the frets were badly worn and it had the poly finish all over, or I would have absolutely bought it for a project. Members dmc69
Thanks guys! And LOL Mok! China's my drug addiciton. I know I shouldn't do it, but... I can't stop! Everything's sooooo cheap, especially misc guitar parts.

Members dmc69
Thanks guys! Oh, I had a choice between this or a used Fender deluxe power strat for 399 or a Gibson trans blue longhorn #168 for 999. Are those good deals? I might pull the trigger on some more guitars... Members tiltsta
Nice score. I've seen plenty of flamed maple neck squiers over the years, and a good number of MIM standard models too. Certainly adds to the bling factor.

Members fiveoclockhero
HNGD! Awesome! Enjoy her I also have a CV 50's Tele but my maple neck does not have a deep flame. That's a cool look. Here's my question of the moment... Why do some CV 50's Teles look like they're Oly White? The website lists it as "Vintage Blonde" and I'm sure MINE is Vintage Blonde but some of the ones I've seen floating around appear to be Olympic White. Just curious. Members wagdog
Nice guitar, period. I've got an SX tele with a nice flamed maple fingerboard and an sx strat with a flamed neck but plain fingerboard.
Members dmc69
SX's have flamed maple necks too? Whoa, and I thought mine was an oddity.
