Like him or not Adam Duritz is fearless...

I'm a fan of Counting Crows and on their Facebook Page Adam Duritz has been giving free downloads of covers he's doing before Valentines Day. What I like about these is they are just home recordings on piano and as we all know home recordings can be pretty raw. I like the fearlessness he shows in daring to sound stupid... Just like me!

Definitely a fan of Duritz and the Crows but unfortunately I'll never hear'em if you have to be a facebook member. I quit a long time ago. Anyways, glad he's putting out some cool stuff like that. Man I love the 90s!

You don't hae to be a Facebook member (I'm sure as hell not). Click the link and then go to the band tab and go from there. The clips are raw, but interesting.

I actually scored August and Everything After before the big rush hit so I didn't get on (and off) the bandwagon; I read a magazine article about them and decided to check it out. Great CD; I think I still have it somewhere.

I especially respected the fact that they didn't play "Mr. Jones" first when they appeared on Saturday Night Live. Lorne Michaels told them they had to play their big hit first, and they refused, saying they wanted to start with "Round Here." That took serious guts, especially for an up-and-coming band.

Sounds like I am a minority here. I can't stand the Counting Crows. They sound like a bunch of contemporary whiners to me.

Ironically, that sounded very much like whining. :poke:

Whining about whining - we're really getting meta now. :cop:

I liked AAEA, great cohesive album, very Americana. Thanks for the link.
