Members wartoxin Posted February 13, 2011 Members Share Posted February 13, 2011 So I've read some helpful things on the subject here, but just want to get a few tips on working on my new Michael Kelly Patriot. I know how to set up a strat for example, except the nut maybe.right now the strings are high on the nut side. Partly it's a minor relief thing so i will try the truss adjustment. How far from the fingerboard should the strings be at the nut though, I have a caliper.At the bridge, is it correct to just put the tailpeice as low as possible but still high enough to keep the strings from touching the back of the tuneomatic bridge?Is it common to cut the saddles a little deeper?
