Members Fettman
it also has some fast parts in it + a melodic solo at the end what do you guys think? I recorded all the guitars with an Axe Fx (the string reverb simulation is also from that unit) I also entered guitar idol with that song, I might make it to the second round, we'll see... someone will need to vote for me though http://www.guitaridol.tv/video/1306

Members slashfacepalm
You look like you belong in an 80s sitcom, but other than that, I like it.
Members dcooper830
That is totally bad ass! Great job! I love how you mix in some shredding with traditional surf sounds. The little crab is really the star of the video though. Just sayin'.
Members d_dave_c
You, Douchebag? I didn't know you dabbled.* Nice playing. I'll vote for surf over all the Yngwie wanna-be's. Catch many waves in Austria? * - Sorry if the vague SNL reference doesn't make it across the pond.
Members Fettman
thanks for watching everyoneyes, the crabs are great. The backgrounds are frapsed from a 3D benchmark/engine demo (Unigine Engine), in case anyone wants more beach/island 3D graphics ^^well, there are some lakes... maybe windsurfing, but no "regular" surfing unfortunately. Next real beach would be in Italy.
Members kulardenu
That was awesome! How are you doing the video? Is this a green screen with video background effect?
Members Fettman
That was awesome! How are you doing the video? Is this a green screen with video background effect? yes, I have a green screen backdrop behind methen you need to have some lights behind you, lighting up that green backdrop as evenly as possible. These lights are placed behind you to avoid having you casting shadows on the green screen. Then you'll need one extra light in front of you, to avoid being too dark etc. In the video editing software you select a "chroma keyer" effect to cancel out the green. For backgrounds you can use whatever material you have.
Members Mister Crow
You are very talented. I liked that a lot. I'm a bit older, so as far as tones go, I would have preferred a little more traditional 'twang' from the guitars, as I like that very clean Fender sound with my surf. But as far as command of the instrument, and compositional abilities, you really are very, very good.

Members GAS Man
I like the tone and all the various elements you put into it. I'd say it's a very nice composition. About the only negative I'd say is that the listener is struggling a bit to figure out where the melody is going. Usually that's not a challenge with surf music. The composition is a bit eclectic. Overall I liked it and I'd be very proud of that if I'd put that together. Kudos It reminds me a bit of the Mermen, my favorite modern surf band. Members Fettman
wow, thanks again guys these are many replies this time I like the tone and all the various elements you put into it. I'd say it's a very nice composition. About the only negative I'd say is that the listener is struggling a bit to figure out where the melody is going. Usually that's not a challenge with surf music. The composition is a bit eclectic. Overall I liked it and I'd be very proud of that if I'd put that together. Kudos It reminds me a bit of the Mermen, my favorite modern surf band. that's true I always tend to have too many parts that I need to connect together somehow. I think with the first listen it could be a bit confusing. On the other hand I think with a fast paced format like youtube, you need to have some variety in it, otherwise people don't watch the whole thing.
