Dear All

Also here a bit late review

Arrived 2 weeks ago,I wrote the review and during that(I was not the cause I hope )HC blows up

My new Xavier XV-JT90

Very good build quality

unbelievable wood(ASH-->heavy)

Good pickups after resoldering

Action a bit high

Good neck

Medium sustain(expected a bit more from Ash)

Medium quality pickguard

Input jack needed repair

All in all a ringer for the price although the XV-835 was better

Look on this wood

Purely acapela/unplugged the JAG Japan is darker and has longer sustain. Its the best guitar from playabilty point of view(It is better then my CS Strat).

Compared to this the JT is brighter, more pronounced and has less sustain,is a more silent guitar (same like the CS) unplugged.

Played electric I hate to say the Dragster-J pickups are just low average in any setting apart british sounds.

The GFS pickups(no HB's !!) fuller in sound good clean,great cranked,OK distorted.

Therefore over christmas holiday the JAG gets BG Split coil PU's

tell me more about the sound and feel

how does it feel and sit on your body compared the the jag

i am really wanting one of those the go with my jazzmaster

Feel longer25,5 vs 24" and a bit more balanced

Sound hard to describe. Its a SS Jag on steroids ,with still great cleans

(Sometimes Jay will have good real sound samples and photography.I think he want to hinder his sales)

It is a fastguitar/neck but not so much to bend(7,5 radius I like for bending the 12 better)

It would be a killer for Dr.Morbius surfing.First time I could get the Miserlou start up right with not one mistake instantly(usually I need 3 4 try's till my fingers follow my will)

Its not a Jazzmaster !!

go to the homepage-->look the pickups and listen to them on the pickup page

I would have bought the JAG anyway,You know when you are there, you are there. But knowing(having played) the JT I may have bought a JT-60 additionally then the JGS.And the JGS is very good (apart PU)

But you have less switches

That's awesome! If you have to give Xaviere credit for anything, it's offering a bit of nice selection on the offsets. They offer Jag/JM style guitars that Fender themselves don't offer. I would buy the XV-JT90 before a Blacktop Jazzmaster just because I want a hardtail in 25.5 inch scale. And LOOK at it... that's just a gorgeous instrument.
