Members vcnyls
So I've been GASing for a 12 string for a while now and am considering taking the plunge (OK, it's one of many things I'm considering - it's a long list that also includes a nice acoustic, a Les Paul, and a Tele so it's a pretty broad list right now). So... show me what you've got. I've played some Rics and have found the fretboard to be too narrow for me, though I haven't gotten my hands on their wide neck guitars - may be worth a try. I know it's a niche instrument but I really like them... that said, feel free to try to convince me not to get one (or to get one).
Members Alecto
For bang-for-buck, you can't go wrong with the Danelectro DC-12's. Freakin' awesome for the $$$ and the lipsticks are ideal for 12-string chime. In fact, if I ever replaced my Dano with a higher-end 12, I'd likely pop lipsticks in that one too because they sound so good. 3/4 of the Rickenbacker sound for less than 1/3 of the price, and the neck is wider. Look for the 1990's versions with the sparkle finishes: much better QC than the current models. This isn't mine but mine is identical to this. Members profgalen
This is my dano 12. I think it's a 99 Korean built. Plays great even with my fat fingers. It's got the jangle.
Members GAS Man
I bought on-line a Ricky 360/12 and I agree, the fb is too damned small. If I had it to do over again, I might just go with a Dipinto Mach XII instead. I have the Mach IV and it's a real nice guitar. http://www.dipintocustomshop.com/wordpress/2008/10/mach-xii-mach-iv-12-string/

Members Steadfastly
Here are a couple I've been looking at too. A Dean Boca. You can get this for less than $300.00 if you shop around. zZounds seem to the be best price. Here is the Italia Rimini. Very nice (a Ric copy) but around $650.00 Check out Eastwood as well and of course, eBay.

Members orourke
I've played a few of those Dano 12 strings, I think they sound and play as good as anything your going to find for even ten times the price. Though I have an old Fender. Here's my MIJ 1988 Strat 12:
Members Brian Krashpad
I have one of these and like it very much, a Daisy Rock Retro H-12. Me too! But in my case the seller (our very own DCinDC, iirc) had replaced the stock hot mini's with low-output Brownsville single-coil toasters:

Members Apolloslyre
Hey Apolloslyre, ,how do you like that Agile 12er? I've looked at those online and they look great! Play well? She's the embodiment of perfection...I have changed nothing on it. Perfect setup right out of the box. For being a 12 string the neck fretboard wise is not as big as you think, and girth wise it has a slim taper. Playing is butter...pickups on mine work nice especially on the clean. The pictures on rondomusic's site do not do these guitars justice, they are stunning in real life. However with that said, the company is known to have duds among them...fortunately I was blessed with a nice one.

Yeah, I may give that a look. I'd really like a PRS 12 string (they only make the hollowbody now but the solid or hollow would be possibilities). Anyone have one?
