Gibson LP doublecut?

I would personally go with either the Stratosonic (been gassing for one forever!) or the Godin, cause Godins rock :rawk: Theres also the Godin redlines.

Gruhn had an HH stratosonic for $675 USD recently, I emailed them about it asking if they could ship to Australia but never heard back... now its gone

i may be wrong about this but i thought schecter made c-1 in 24.75 scale

they have a strat like body with set neck and 2 buckers

once again i am not 100% on that though

out of the one's you listed i have played a godin detour and was impressed

and didnt think the pups were that bad

How about 25" scale?

I've given the PRS path some consideration, but for me 25" and 24.75" don't give quite the same feel, and I'm not a big fan of the PRS neck (a bit wider and chunkier than I like). But I can't seem to find the perfect fit, and I may end up having to compromise on both points--I'll keep the Tremonti in mind.

I've got a C-1+ that's hardtail and has a strat-like body, 2 HBs, and a set neck. Helluva guitar too, once I swapped in 57/57+ HBs. Scratched my itch, anyway.

Gibson LP doublecut?

+1 on the Gibson Doublecut

id also recommend trying to find a USA Hamer Studio or similar

I had convinced myself for years that the Ibanez Jem I own with the super thin neck would make me a better faster player. I have relegated to knowing that a little bit thicker neck like Hamer's are where it is at for me. Also the 14" radius on a Hamer is somewhat of a compromise to the modern radius I had come accustomed to with the Ibanez.

Ive just recently come to a similar conclusion - I just found out that I can shred a lot easier on my LP studio with the fat 50s profile neck than I can on my Jim Root strat :S

Some options if you're looser on the requirements:

Ibanez ARX320 - $450 - mahogany body/neck, 24.75" scale, HH, hard tail, belly cut

Cort M600 - $400 - mahogany body/neck, 24.75" scale, HH, hard tail

I own the single cut version of that Ibanez, and it's a great guitar with a new nut and a setup. I've owned the 25.5" version of that Cort, and it's a solid guitar for the money. And three of my friends have owned the LP double cut and it's also a really solid guitar, although you will probably want to put an adjustable intonation bridge on it.

I think the Dean hardtail selects are what you're looking for. Not really sure about the neck profile, but it's 24.75" scale, dual HB, dualv/t knobs, stratty shape, good looking headstock for a dean, and about $650. You can get a USA made or Japanese made one, but those get pricey.
