Members PunkKitty
I made the mistake of stopping at GC on my way home from class yesterday. This Epiphone Dot Studio followed me home: I did some minor setup work on it. I intonated it and reset the action. Outside of that, it didn't need anything. I'm impressed. This guitar was a great deal for $239 plus tax. It plays very, very well. Easily as well or better than my Artcore. The slightly overwound pickups and mahogany body give it a deep sound. More like a full hollow body IMHO. The fretwork is perfect. The pickups are versatile and sound great. There's nothing bad to say about this guitar. If you can find one at your local GC, pick it up. At $239 new, it's a steal.
Members fiveoclockhero
So you DID concede to the President's Day sale after all? Congrats! I like it! I've heard that the Studio series Dots are the best value possible for semi's. Have fun.
Members PunkKitty
Yes I did concede. These seriously are a great value. The build quality is very, very good for any guitar. Price has nothing to doo with it. This is just a good guitar regardless of price.
Members Wulver
I got one of those as a birthday present three years back, when I was first starting with the guitar. I've had several people since compliment me on the guitar, and I haven't been able to find one I like as much in-store since. maybe it's been worn in well. can't really say. Pardon the blueness of the pic. I've made some mods, and I might not be done....maybe a Bigsby would be cool...
