Members Holy Schnikes
For anyone sick of the black, gold, white, and amber options. I ordered a set of these for my LP Custom from MIJ guitars through Amazon and they're superb. Available in standard and metric, inexpensive, and shipped in 5 days time from Japan. Plus they look super classy, what more could you want?

Members iancandler
what more could you want? original Gibson ones or better still change them to bell knobs, I have to admit the first thing that changed on my les paul was the speed knobs, gave a mate a ring who works as a tech for the importers and got a set of Gibson amber bell knobs + indicator washers, improved things a lot

Members tiltsta
why are they called speed knobs? Easier to turn with you pinky wrapped around them for things like volume swells and stuff, at least compared to the top hat style knobs...unless you are used to non-speed knobs, that is. I like the look of speed knobs, but I prefer the top hat style on my LPs. They showed up in the mid 70's on LP customs. I'm guessing the Gibson marketing department started calling them speed knobs, but I really don't know.

Members *BLEEP*
why are they called speed knobs? Gibson designed them to complement their "speed necks." PS: I've also seen crystal clear speed knobs.
