Members TritoneTerror
So I'm in Tokyo for a couple more days, and while I was here I wanted to look for Teisco stuff. I went to Ochanomizu today and checked out about a dozen shops but I didn't see a single Teisco. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Members soundcreation
I was just in Japan a few weeks ago and only remember seeing 1. It's going to be pretty tough for you to find one in any of the main shops. Most of them seemed to focus on new stock with a handful of used guitars. There was one shop I really liked that had a ton of used stuff though. It was on the JR rail line Shinokubu station.... This shop here... http://www.hyperguitars.com/ http://www.hyperguitars.com/shop/gmap.html Just exit the station (facing the main road), turn left and left again up the first alley/street...can't miss it. Really though there are probably going to be way more teisco's on yahoo japan auctions than there will be in all the shops in Tokyo.
Members zenbu
if you are near any of the 2nd Street or Hard Off shops, give em a look see...they are recycle chains that buy and sell just about anything and they have guitars...they`ve pretty much swallowed up mom and pop pawn shops around these parts. Get hotel staff to tell you if you have any of those in the area you are in. I have bought guitars in both places, though not in Tokyo but they are nation wide chains. Theres another chain...Mandai...not sure if they are everywhere or just up here where I am.

Members aclarke
+1 on Hyperguitars. Great guys. To be honest, though - there don't seem to be many teiscos around these days. The ones that show up tend to be either horribly abused and cheap or utterly pristine and going for quite a lot.
Members TritoneTerror
OK, so I spent all my money on hookers and drugs and didn't get a chance to check out Hyperguitars. Will check them out next time, though!
