Got this last night -- haven't spent too much time with it, but I think it'll probably scratch my Les Paul itch (at least for a while...) The USA Gold Tone pickups (esp the bridge) sound really good from the small amount of time I spen with t it before something more important (sharks game) intruded. Haven't cleaned or otherwise messed with it at all yet. The PU selector is a bit scratchy, so I may spray a little electronic cleaner in it, but otherwise it's good-to-go...

I've had a couple of M-75's. For some reason I keep running into them. Very nice guitars, the GoldTones are nice, unique sounding pick-ups.

Excellent that you got the HSC for it. With it's larger body size, it can be a bear to find the right case. I never had one in your color, that tobacco burst. I had two black ones and a deep purple. Yours is by far the best color for the M-75's that I've seen. I think it also might be the rarest, at least in my experience.

Congrats!

I used to have a tobacco burst M-72, very similar to yours, except mine had a clear pickguard, which I painted white (spray painted the underside), and the M-72 had a stop tail. Those GoldTones are great pickups, I still have a pair on my Jet Star. I sold the M-72 after I got a couple Gibby LP's, but it was a great guitar. I also had a black M-75, again with the same GoldTones (sold the M-75 because I preferred the stop tail on the M-72).

Over this last summer I went to a 3-day jam/party/guitar pull, where everyone got to play each other's gear. Despite that there was some very expensive stuff there, the Jet Star with those DeArmonds was a crowd favorite.

I just sold my M75t last week! Same as yours only with the Bigsby. It was a nice guitar. The necks are very comfortable. Mine had the different pickups. They were more like toasters style.

I sold it to fund my new Tele that came today.

Congrats man! BTW - That series is increasing in resale value so depending on what you paid it was a good investment.

If you'd sold it a couple weeks ago I might have been the guy who bought it, but I guess that was somebody else. My new M-75T kicks ass: the champagne sparkle is really pretty, and likely to look great under stage lights. Nice neck, and the Bigsby is novel. Haven't had much time to mess with it plugged in, but I hear great things about the 2K pickups, supposedly very P-90-ish.

That's a beaut, super nice finish on that guy. Congrats!

And congrats on the Sharks win as well. I winked out during the second intermission and woke up to find I'd missed a helluva finish. Again. Got to dial back the alcohol...
