Members vintage clubber
The red paisley Turser Tele arrived today. Seems pretty solid as a modding platform. It is super lightweight, actually lighter than my GFS paulownia frankentele. The neck feels fantastic and I am looking forward to a restring and set up. Upgrade/Mod plans: new pickups (brand/model not decided yet), 4 way switch, new pots/cap, electrosocket conversion, TUSQ nut, graph tech string trees, compensated brass saddles, and clear pickguard... Members cratz2
Pretty sweet. I have to say, and I'm kind of a neck snob, but for a ~$100 or whatever you paid, those things have absolutely KILLER fretwork and general feel. I didn't have to do any fretwork whatsoever... fret ends were absolutely perfect, no high or low frets, they all look well crowned. I fully believe that they were doing full fret jobs on all these. Mine needed a very slight polish as I think there was some long term moisture at work on mine, but that's not the fault of the builder or factory. I just couldn't get on with how light weight the body was. I don't know for sure that it was the lightest guitar I ever owned, but it was one of the three lightest for sure. Sounded very snappy as well. Overall, an absolute KILLER bargain. HNGD!

Members JoeBoy
Very cool Chris. A good Turser makes a great MOD Platform. You know I used to own about 10 Tursers. Sold em all when I was having health problems. Clear guard will look great...
Members Malcolm Ramone
Cool, I remember seeing the Fender RI's back in the 80s. Clear pg is a must! I'm also wondering how a 4 way switch works on two pups? -Adam
