Members Fusion1
It was a cylinder shaped tool that came apart. The top had a plug like protrusion (i want to say had some sort of coating like super ferrite rare earth magnets, teflon coated or microscopic diamond dust etc. which sounded a bit like snake oil trickery) you would insert and remove several times and it would remove corrosion in the interior of jack and the more you did this it "supposedly" left a protective coating over the surface keeping the jack working in top shape. The cyldiner bottom part had a hole that you would insert a 1/4" plug into and then wind it around I think this came out a year or so later than the Guitool which was popular but for whatever reason also became discontinued or the company folded. The tool itself would remind one of a car battery terminal cleaner tool. The top part has a wand with a wire brush to clean the interior of the battery connectors, and the base had a hole with wire bristles on the interior yuou place over the battery terminals and then rotate back and forth to remove the white powder buildup. Same principle and it works the same way. Kind of ingenius for something like that for music people like us. Anyone remember this tool and if so do you remember the name of it? I actually have one I can't seem to find but I do remember it working well. If anyone knows the name of it and the story of the company that made it and why they discontinued the product it would be great to chime in here. Members Fusion1
Anyone that's been playing from the 80s or before remember this device? I'd like to find another one since I can't find the one I used to have that I am sure is tucked away somewhere that I will probably find 10 years from now.
