Just got the Jeff Beck DVD a few days before official release from a friend (he also gave me the BluRay for when I get a player).

More songs than were shown on PBS and it's just an awesome show. But the BONUS FEATURES!!! WOW!

Jeff Beck goes through some of his guitars in his collection and discusses them and does a little playing on them too. This is a really great feature.

From the never been released on DVD: Rock N Roll Tonite clip with Billy Squier, Jeff Beck and Les Paul. 2 Songs and includes the hilarious part where Les pulls out jeff's guitar plug. This clip is on You Tube but the quality here is really nice, crisp and clear. I have always wanted this and I saw this as it was broadcast in the early 80s at 1am on NBC right after Sat Nite Live.

Interview and some cool behind the scenes stuff.

Jeff returns to Rock n Roll!! Rockabilly!! I love that he revisits Train Kept A Rollin'

and just to brag again, I loved seeing Jeff with Rod Stewart in Los Angeles but it still never tops the moment when Jimmy goes into the fast part of Stairway To Heaven and both Eric and Jeff walk on stage. I saw 2 of the 3 nights of ARMS at the Cow Palace in SF. One of the all-time great moments then they Jam on Layla.

as many people say in the DVD, Jeff is the world's greatest living guitarist. In my opinion he's finally gotten even with Jimi too.

Can't wait to get that DVD!

I recorded the PBS special and I must have watched it 6 times so far.

That performance is something else... Jeff is spot on and every note is crystal clear.

What a treat it must have been to be in that audience.

And Imelda? Woo Hoo! I'm in love...

That sounds great. I'm getting the DVD for sure.

Jeff Beck is a big rockabilly fan. That Cliff Gallop tribute album he did some years ago was great fun.

I read about it in an interview with Jeff Beck in the latest Guitar World. This issue of GW is great, very blues dedicated. There's a great article about Robert Johnson and also the making of Derek and the Dominoes' Layla, and Other Assorted Love Songs album.

Also, great interviews with Dan Auerbach and Joe Bonamassa. I recommend it highly. :thu:

Yep, saw it on the PBS special and bought the DVD.

Popped it in with a few other items from Amazon to get the free shipping. I believe the DVD was about $12.00. Much more stuff than the PBS special.

Absolutely great! Brian Setzer and the horns are a real treat. Gary U.S. Bonds also.

Don't miss this.

I saw it on PBS and as always I was amazed how great
the man with no sleeves
is.

He's crazy good. Speaking of Crazy, catch his Crazy Legs album. Doing Cliff Gallop tunes he is amazing too.

Damn.

I just saw that DVD at Manifest a few hours ago

and just looked at it and moved on.

Maybe I'll go back tomorrow.

They did have a copy of Boogie Nights (movie)

that I just knew they would have and they did.

Not much movie today after watching the bloody 'Casino' last night.

Boy the ending was a bit much

Simply put Jeff is the greatest living player on the planet. I saw the PBS show and when I saw how many more songs were on the DVD I had to fly out and get it.Talk about a killer performance and boy that Imelda May is something else, is it me or does Beck just have this uncanny knack of finding all these great female artist and getting them seen and heard by the masses. I would of killed to have been there but am going to the show this month at the Beacon. The bonus features were worthy of there own DVD and seeing players like Zack Wylde, Kirk Hammet, Miami Steve and many more in the audience just goes to show that when Beck does a show players from rock, metal, country and jazz are in attendance as everyone is amazed by the guy. I am finally happy to see Jeff start making some of the financial gains that most people do not realize have eluded him during his 5 decade career. If you look at his peers like Clapton, Page, Townshend, Keif and so on and so on Jeff is probably the lowest guy on the totem pole financially as right after the Jeff Beck group he never had a band with a vocalist the magnitude of everyone else and built his legend purely on his guitar abilities with really no hit songs and huge arena tours. I was actually wondering if his shows last year with Clapton was the first time he ever co-headlined the Garden which is mind boggling. But just like his career of which he always continued to experiment starting with Rock, Blues, Early Metal, Jazz,Fusion, Techno, Rockabilly and who knows what he will do next but how many guys at his level continue to improve=frightening. I think he is at the height of his career and popularity right now in his 60s- Going in the R&R Hall of Fame as a solo artist, touring with Clapton, Live at Ronnie Scotts went platinum, he just won 3 more Grammy awards this year -Motions & Commotions, and most of all he never sold out. Beck is one busy guys and in big demand these days and no one deserves it more.

Went to the launch for this the other week ... reported on it in my blog ...

As an "older" gent myself, I can only imagine what it would be to spend any time with the heroes I revered when I was a teenager and they weren't much older. It's amazing to realize that I followed Beck and Page in their Yardbird days. Excellent blog.
