Members markparr
I just wired up one of my ibanez guitars with a push pull pot and 3 way switch i have it configured to be bridge, bridge & neck, neck with the pot pulled its south bridge, south bridge & south neck, south neck. Its all working fine but im not sure if im supose to wire the neck & bridge in phase for when both are active are or out of phase. I have them wired out of phase right now and there is a slight volume drop when I switch to both but im not sure if this is normal. im not really wanting to open it up again start soldering and switch wires around if I have it correct so id appreciate if someone could chime in on the proper way for it to be wired. Members Mr.Grumpy
Neck and bridge pickups should be wired IN phase normally. If they're wired out of phase you will get a big volume drop and practically NO BASS at all - it's a very thin tone. Check this site out, lots of good info and diagrams on guitar wiring: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/
