Members zantor9
It isn't really a big deal from what i can think, but i must have accidentally ordered a bass case from MF instead of an electric guitar case Is this a big deal? Is there any reason why it wouldn't work both ways? If it works anyway, why would they have 2 different cases for both? I wanted this one: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Musician's-Gear-Deluxe-Electric-Guitar-Case?sku=540948 But must have accidentally got this: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Musician's-Gear-Deluxe-Bass-Case?sku=540946
Members ajympt
Well, guitar might slide around more than you may like in a bass case. I guess if you are ok with it then whatever- my Eagle lives in a ridiculously huge bass case that has cushioning added to keep it in place. Members mrbrown49
Compare the specs. The Bass case is an inch wider and ~ 6 inches longer. The important dimension is the width. If that doesn't fit your guitar snug the case isn't gonna provide much protection. GuitarLength

Members fretmonster
I'd probably spring for the return shipping to get the right one, but that's just me.

I was kind of busy today (but not too busy as i have been writing on this forum ) so i couldn't call but tomorrow should be good for me calling them. Members GilmourD
Did you order the wrong case or did they send you the wrong case when you ordered the correct one?
Members zantor9
Did you order the wrong case or did they send you the wrong case when you ordered the correct one? Hard to say I remember clicking and buying the electric guitar one but all of a sudden i saw my receipt saying bass case. I remember pressing the right one but i guess it could have been an easy mistake
Members *BLEEP*
i guess i should have read the description clearly before i bought TWO of them A typical Strat / Tele type of guitar will work out fine with that case as long as you fill the voids around the body and the top of the neck with some sort of inert cloth, such as cheap white bath towels. Some sort of white terrycloth towel material is the best candidate for padding because there is no colour to rub off on anything and no synthetic materials that might decay and react with the finish of the guitar over a long period of time. Members zantor9
It'll take a lot of money to return even one of those, not to mention TWO of those. It's not worth it. Thanks dude i just needed some reassurance that this would work fine. I'll just try these out and see how they work with my guitars. I'm not bringing them to gigs regularly or anything so dont worry they are mostly for them to not gather dust and not just lay on the ground or lean on something. I'll let all of you know how this works out once i get them

You might be able to change the order before it's too late.
Members zantor9
Well i guess they were already shipped. I just called them and they are exchanging them now but i still have to pay to send back the bass cases :|

Members *BLEEP*
Thanks dude i just needed some reassurance that this would work fine. For a number of years, I kept a Fender Jagmaster in an inexpensive bass case just like one of the ones you ordered, because it wouldn't fit in a common Strat/Tele case, and a Jaguar case was expensive as hell (relatively so, at least). The cheap white towels worked great as padding.
Members zantor9
Thanks everyone for the replies. I just got them in the mail by UPS yesterday. They actually work fairly well. I might as well put some padding in there but so far they don't seem to be moving around very much. I guess if i REALLY need to move them such as to a gig or something (i'm still a sit at home player ) then i will need padding but for now the cases are for storage because i have TOO many guitars to just sit there. These cases are actually pretty nice for $50.
