Yeah, it's nice. But I've always been a little bit on the fence when it comes to "spalted". Another word for it is "rotten". But I do like it more than don't.

I would only buy a spalted maple topped guitar if I could chose the exact one I was buying simply because there can be so much variation in how they look. I also find it odd that the top on that one is not book-matched which is how you must often see spalted tops.

That's a pretty cool looking guitar! Due to my picky old fart nature, I have some resvervations,(headstock shape and neck profile) but like I said , it is pretty cool looking! I hope you get one with a really nice top.

This. Plus, it's a shame to cover up such a nice chunk of ash. Overall, I do like the looks of it.

Spalted tops are definitely a case-by-case kinda thing. The one pictured doesn't do a lot for me. But I'm in no way opposed to spalted maple Teles

I like it. Spalted maple has a lot of haters (no offense of course, everyone is allowed to like what they like), but I think it looks cool.
