Members xoeo
What should I expect to pay for a custom 24 non 10 top with moons in mint condition? I have someone local offering one for 1,500$. At this price should I jump on it? I also have someone offering me a ce24 for 800$. I am trying to decide which one to get, please help! Members chriscnb
$800 for a CE is a great deal! I've had two CEs and both were fantastic guitars...really effortless to play. $1500 is a decent price for a CU 24 non-10/moons, but I've also seen 10 tops/birds at that price. I say offer them less and get it you how it plays....really IMO that counts for the most. I'd be willing to be a *little extra for a guitar I could not put down. Members scolfax
CE is fantastic, but only if you like the neck.

Members bjcarl
If you really want the custom, offer them $1250...personally, I always break several bones in my fretting hand whenever I try to play a PRS. ouch.
Members Guitar Heel
Not a bad price for the 24 (good, actually), really good price for the CE.
Members docjeffrey
What kind of CE24? There have been several. The maple top versions go for about $200 more. Also, the year it was built might make a diff. I really dig my CE24. It has the wide-thin neck which is neither wide nor thin:-) The pickups are fantastic and the trem is the best non-locking unit ever. But what I really like is the maple neck. It's finished in a matte nitrocellulose lacquer so it plays fast and the action can be set up pretty low. I paid $1000 for my CE24 brand new at a Guitar Center Memorial Day sale blowout:

I'll give you 1,000$ for that git . I think that the price of those used is listed from $900--$1200, so you can find them on the auction sites for pretty cheap. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used PRS. They are so well made and quality control is exceptionally high.
Members Mesa/Kramer
CE at $800 is a "very" Good deal. Custom 24 at $1,500 is an average deal.
