Members guitarcat46
I'm looking for a company that sells Strat bodies, and offerscolor matching to a solid color I have in mind (Like a dark blue, or navy blue.) I looked on Warmoth's site, but they don't have what I'm looking for. They also state they can't color match at this time. Are there any other companies that are good that would color match? If not, I could always just order it from Warmoth, and have it painted somewhere. Thanks! Members guitarcat46
I just found out that Fender used to make one similar to the color I'm looking for. I see Warmoth offers a color called Spectra Blue, and it might be close enough?
Members billybilly
If you have some time and like to tinker, paint it yourself. The first time I did it was a great learning experience and it turned out sweet.
Members scottgd
This may not help but the Fender Custom Shop make a EC Strat in Midnight Blue that is very dark with some speckles in it. I have one and it's just beautiful.
Members Wyatt
The Guitar Mill will color match (for those who care, they use nitrocellulose lacquer, like pre-'67 fender). Otherwise a finisher like Southbound Customs charges a rate not much more than Warmoth and will finish in nitro or poly. You buy the new body from whomever you want and have it drop shipped for finishing. The key is start with a new body, stripping old finishes adds a ton to the cost.
