Members xrleroyx
Well, I'm GAS-ing hardcore. Everywhere. Mainly for another Jazzmaster but I keep making offers at shredders, jazzboxes, you name it. I guess I just REALLY need to change my set-up. Anyone else achieve this level of gasocity? Members EllenGtrGrl
As a matter of fact, yes I am, at the present time. I have 5 guitars (4 electrics and an acoustic). I've never had this many guitars. I just bought my Jazzmaster 3 weeks ago. I thought my GAS was done! But guess what?, I've got a line on a G&L ASAT that I can afford, and a 1983, MIJ SQ series Squier Bullet in sunburst that's like the 1983, black SQ series Bullet I had 2 plus years ago that was such a fun guitar, but had to sell, in order to keep on top of my finances. G&L Tribute ASAT My old 1983 MIJ Squier Bullet The thought of getting another guitar is bothering me to an extent. I can't make up my mind, which of the two I want. The Bullet has kind of a dinky body (I prefer larger bodied guitars), but is a bit rarer than the G&L, and has such a cool, zingy, snappy, snotty kind of sound to it. G&L's are cool, but Teles have historically ended up being a love/hate thing for me soundwise (on some days, I find them to be too spiky sounding for my tastes), and as a result, I've ended up selling every Tele I've ever owned. But, when Teles sound cool (ala Jimmy Page in early era 'Zep), they sound really cool. Also, throw in the fact that with 6 guitars, I'm worried about ending up with case queens. I can thin the herd by getting rid of guitars, but I like all of the guitars I have - even the single pickup, with only a volume control, laminated body, made in Indonesia, Squier Bullet Special. The last time I thought about selling the Bullet Special, I plugged it into an amp, started blasting away, and changed my mind, telling myself that it was too fun of a guitar to get rid of. I'm trying to talk myself out of buying another guitar, but you don't run into may G&Ls going for $350, and MIJ Squier Bullets aren't exactly very common, much less at the $280 price GC-Nashville is selling this one for. And to think I thought the GAS was gone a few weeks ago!
Members mistersully
G&L Tribute ASAT i have a g&l tribute asat classic... looks like that but with a rosewood fretboard it's a cool guitar... the pickups (usa made) are ballsier (imo) than what i've heard in most fender teles... it might just be what you're looking for, tele-wise as for my gas... a gretsch duo jet tops the list right now

That's info I needed! I think I'll give the GC in Massachusetts that's selling it a call, and buy it. Edit - 1 Hour Later: well, I bought the G&L ASAT. I have to run now, the no-kill cat shelter I volunteer at, called a short time ago, begging for help with the cleaning, since they're short handed. I'm out of here. Members Bbreaker
Last month I acquired an 09' PRS Custom 24 w/10 top and 58/09 pick ups.Very light; great looker and fine/comfortable player. It seems that I'm attracted to PRS and Rickenbacker these days. Apples & oranges but well made instruments. The GAS desire narrows because I've gone through almost everything I've ever wanted.....well, I'd love a 12 string tricone resonator. If one of these platypus's ever comes my way for the right price, I may have a very special HNGD post.

Members xrleroyx
I've always wanted to try PRS's. My style is more "raw" (sloppy) than most, which is why I dig the noise of Jazzmasters.
