KitCore or DrumCore?

There's probably a better home for this post, but I'm a guitarist, so what the heck.

I'm interested in trying some drum software that doesn't require a lot of programming - considering DrumCore or KitCore.

Have any of you tried one of these? Any good? To be honest I'm having a hard time figuring out the differences between the two products. DrumCore has audio loops and the other one doesn't, so maybe that's the only thing.

What software do you use? Cubase, ProTools... ?

I was taught by a friend how to use it in Cubase, but I'm sure there's some tutorials teaching how to do it (seen a couple using Fruity Loops and Logic 9).

It's not hard at all. Or, at least it isn't if your goal is to transform a MIDI Drum Track (like from Guitar Pro) into a regular drum track.

I use Addictive Drums, and I think it's an amazing piece of software. Very easy to use and intuitive.

Pretty much all of the current batch of drum software packages are very capable; it's just about what you like more.

AD comes with a few thousand MIDI grooves that you can drag and drop into the host project. I don't use them, as I'm a drummer myself, but I did check out a few when I first got it and the whole interface they have for them is really easy to use.

Pretty sure any drum software will come with a bunch of grooves, again it comes down to preference and ease of use.

+1 on Addictive Drums. Sounds great, super easy to use when you're starting out but plenty of options 'under the hood' when you want to tinker with customizing kits. I found the MIDI grooves that come with AD far less cheezy and 'demo-ish' than the ones that came with EZDrummer and you can also easily import other MIDI files and use them within AD (some googling will net you hundreds of free MIDI grooves). I really like that you can map the Hi Hat pedal to a CC so that you can control how open it is via a mod wheel or (better yet) a control pedal.

Very good. However I found a drummer who has electronic kit, so some of the features are obsolete now :D

On the other hand I always had a hard time to make loops working for my recordings, both in BFD and in this one. IMHO everyone who uses these will be influenced in subliminal level by the preset loops, ie. music will be a bit predicted. For demo purposes they excell.
