Members EdgarSatriani
I'm finishing an original song and I have to come up with a solo over I-IV-V in G from 2:22 to 2:54 at 125bpm's Now, I can just doodle over Em pentatonic but I have other songs where I use this scale, I want something that doesn't sound pentatonicky. Any suggestions?
Members guitarman3001
hrmm...if you posted a clip it might help. Anyone could noodle over a G chord but personally I'd need to hear the rest of the song to try to keep the noodling in context with everything else. Members kirs
Hard to say without hearing the song, and, writing music is a very personal thing. I suggest you look into modes. They are a great vehicle to add the correct mood to a song.
