Members Electric Monk
Would this work? My Strat is routed H-S-H, but I always thought that wide ranges were a different size.
Members nevermind
They are larger than a typical humbucker, no clue if they'd fit a strat H-S-H route without some work
Members GilmourD
I'm pretty sure that the standard humbucker route isn't large enough for a WRHB. I also think you'll have a problem with putting one in the neck position since there's not much pickguard between a standard 'bucker or even a single coil on the edge on the bass side. Members Telenator
You'll have to do a little routing to make room for the larger WRHBs. They will just barely fit on the pickugaurd. Barely. Nothing like that sound!
Members sleewell
probably would not fit with a single coil in the middle, i could be wrong but for sure it would be cramped. but i really like my tele with 2 wide range pickups. i didnt like the sound with my old amp but i just got a mesa studio preamp and they sound quite good. Members Telenator
The stock re-issue WRHBs sound best with a little gain because it adds some complex harmonics that just don't exist with those pickups when you play them clean.
