Interesting -- I had sort of idly wondered that myself. It's interesting to me that the 50's tribute seemed (at least to me) to engender a LOT more excitement and anticipation. I wonder if that is perhaps indicative of the very long lead times required to order one of these things?!?!

I think there was such a frenzy over the initial release of the '50s that those that really wanted one grabbed it right away; those who were mildly interested, or perhaps didn't like the 50s neck didn't. Now with the 60s LPs and SGs available, the demand isn't quite what it was.

 

I, myself have a love/hate relationship with LPs, but the '60s version may make me love one again :)

To add, if they were to put out, let say a version of the sorely-missed 333 (the original satin version of the 335 that was around 1K lo those years ago) w/P90s and around $849, I would smack heads to be first in line...
