Members Oaksong
my only question is... why do they persist with the 1 5/8" nut?
Members *BLEEP*
I do believe I'd make one modification to it, though. I'd put a stacked volume / tone pot in it.
Members twofoolsaminute
my only question is... why do they persist with the 1 5/8" nut? Because it's awesome.
Members Oaksong
Because it's awesome. no, it's cramped. And yes, I can definitely tell the 1/16" difference. Actually, I am glad they ahve the 1 12/16th as well because that is awesome!

Members IamBurnout
I do believe I'd make one modification to it, though. I'd put a stacked volume / tone pot in it. Put a tone control where the bridge tone would go. That thing is sweet, but needs a minibucker.

Members Orange Jackson
Their gold tops have that pea green look to them, in the photos anyway. They need to work on getting a better looking gold flake imo.
Members RaVenCAD
no, it's cramped. And yes, I can definitely tell the 1/16" difference. Actually, I am glad they ahve the 1 12/16th as well because that is awesome! Yeah, but that 1 3/4 is pretty awesome too!
Members JRicoC
I like it. I prefer "Inspired By" models that are decidedly different from the models they suggest ...

Members docjeffrey
The AL-3100 comes with improved wiring, improved pots (now higher voltage with brass shafts for reduced noise) and an improved pickup selector switch It's so advanced that it's virtually invisible:-) Cool guitar. I have an R4 with two P90's and a wraptail that I post photos of all the time. Love it. Gotta have a tone control, no? Easy fix with a push/push or push/pull. Members sqrnookle
So would it be improved or worse if it had a wraparound like a normal Jr?
Members Brewski
Totally not a fan of gold top guitars. Friend of mine had the 70s model gibson lp with minis and it was just fugly. I'm not a traditionalist so old looking gear just looks dated to me. Gimme flame, quilt, spalted maple any day and oh - no clown burst either

Members IBDBB
400.00 If you can find any other guitars under $400 with an ebony board, triple binding, nickel plated hardware, 1 piece mahogany neck, and real MOP inlays, let me know... I don't understand how people can complain about price when they are already 1/2 the price of a new Epi made where many Korean Epi's were made btw...
