Members honeyiscool
So I have this odd need for noiseless single-coil-voiced Strat pickups that don't have that triangular flange thingy (the so-called EMG route) but still look stock. I've narrowed it down to these two choices. What would you go with and why?
Members vintage clubber
the duncans do have that flange thingy as far as I know...Have you looked at the Wilde L45-S? http://www.wildepickups.com/Wilde_Bill_s_Twin_Blades.html check out the youtube demos on that one. Very nice strat tones out of those. yeah, they don't have that stock strat look though... Ok - I stand corrected on the duncans: http://www.seymourduncan.com/products/electric/stratocaster/progressive/classic_stack_p/ Guess if I wanted the stock look, I would go for the duncans... Members honeyiscool
I just can't get over how those blades look. I know it's not about looks, but I don't like pickups that are too hot-rod looking. In fact, I wish Lace and SD didn't put their names on everything. It's not like guitar players don't know what they are. DiMarzio doesn't and everyone knows about DiMarzio.
