Members soma1975
Hi all, First post on the new version of the forums. I fear change.... Just got hold of an old 1980 Fernandes 'lawsuit' floyd equipped superstrat that is now turning into my low budget project guitar. It started off looking like And hopefully will end up looking something like one of these (staining to be decided - might keep it an oil finish) Or I've checked and the exisiting old scratchplate is exactly the same dimensions as the one of my Classic Player Strat except it is routed for a floyd rose. So... I need an anodized aluminium Strat scratchplate routed HH with one vol and one tone, preferably cut for a floyd rose but if not I can maybe handle doing that bit myself if I absolutely have to. I'm in the UK and have exhausted all avenues of enquiry. Found one place but they were going to charge more than what I paid for the guitar to get it made, which seems crazy for a little sheet of metal with some holes cut out of it. SO does anyone know of anywhere else where I could buy one of these or get it made without it breaking the bank? Warmouth offers all the options except they don't do aluminium Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Members FoonkySteve
Sorry i can't help, but where did you try in the uk that can make custom gaurds? I need one done too, but i couldn't find anywhere that do them in this country. Was it more expensive because of the material? Ta!
Members soma1975
http://www.deadlightdesigns.co.uk was the place I found that custom makes stuff. tbh there plastic scratchplates aren't cheap either but are a lot more reasonable.
