I'm so chuffed!!!

This ebay seller did all the wrong thins - stock pics, vague description, no postage and pick up only....

When you live in a small town, it seriously affects your chances to sell..... and results in a great bargain to me!!!!!

So, what do we have here???

Thanks guys!! :D

I've discovered that I just love orange amps. There's a flavour to their tone that my ears prefer to most other amps.

Even on 3 or 4 on volume dial, it is reasonnably loud already. it's got a lovely break up too, very musical. I'm surprised by the 10" speaker too, that celestion sound good.

The tone control looks like it will give me more options that i thought it would too.

:whisper:Doc, the daft thing is that I missed out on on a AD15/12 at

Nice! Sounds like an absolute steal!

I got my Strat a couple of hundred pounds cheaper than the going eBay rate - it was down as 'collection only' in the middle of nowhere - it just so happened my drummer was on holiday in that part of the UK at the time! I was a little nervy about sending a tubthumper to pick up a guitar, but all turned out well!

Those are the way to get great deals.

People refusing/not wanting to bother posting on ebay are getting murdered on their sale prices.

Another thing I've noticed to get great deals, is to aim for almost unknown high quality brands that guitar shops occasionaly store.

They very rarely sell them, and will be happy to sell them on at purchase costs 3 or 4 years down the line - I got my Vigier Expert like that (strat like).

Same quality as Suhr or Anderson, absolutely top notch quality, but the shop had had the guitar for at least 3 years when I bought it - nobody went for it at

:D

I didn't go to work today - plugged in and played quite a bit..... it's almost impossible to get a clean sound out of that amp!!!!
Aboslutely love it!
It's down right dirty!!!!

Metaphorical interlude:

When I was young, one of my friend, 15yo, was annoying a littlun at school (10yo). My friend, tall and strong, was seriously winding him up, and when the littlun would get close and try and punch him, my friend would put his hand on his head and keep it at arms length, with the littlun's arms milling wildly in space. Then the littlun gave him a MASSIVE kick in the balls. My friend fully deserved it. We laughed so hard.....

That Orange AD5 is that littlun. It's small, tiny winy, but kicks some serious arse!!!!!

It can do cleans at low volumes with a les paul, moderate volumes with a strat, but by 2 or 3 on the volume dial, it is serisouly breaking up!!!!

That's bags of fun!!! Really nice tone - the overdrive seems to stop just short of creamy over drive - I'll have to see if I can find something to push it a little harder. But that thing is a proper rock machine, seriously love it!!!!!!!

At the current exchange rate, that's about $209 USD. Great score. Enjoy it.
:thu:

Thanx a lot!

I'm enjoying it a lot.

Plugged in my ppc212 tonight, unbelievable!

Those speakers could get creamy overdrive tone that the 10" speaker couldn't. Wondering if the speaker needs breaking in?

Probably not i assume?
