Members Dyer2394
I know! As far as I know, they were only made for like...1-2 years? Couldn't find a lot of info. It's in the 98 catalog.
Members zenbu
I have one in dark green...almost black...came with ESP LH-200 p`ups originally though...I swapped mine for Duncan alnico pro IIs. Not much information?...from my 1998 catalog...body...mahoganyneck...maple/roswood, 22 frets, bolt onp`ups...you knowbridge...you knowretail price was 200,000 yen at the time. They didn`t provide much info...thats all there is.Don`t know how rare they are, anyways...probably doesn`t make much difference value wise but I guess for guys who need to own something few other people have then yeah, might be called rare. Got mine from the Big Boss ESP shop here in Sendai at the time, always had a problem with the switch and had to have it changed. I like mine a lot...like that it`s so light, the bolt on neck doesn`t bother me a bit, in fact gonna make it easier to bring home when I go. Members zenbu
OH yeah...it`s called the... MA Hollow. There were 3 MA models in the series...one solid body, one with a Floyd bridge for 50,000 yen more and the semi hollow. The other 2 came stock with Duncan p`ups...Floyd had...TB-4 and SH-1...the solid body had...SH-1`s.
Members docjeffrey
Very cool. I have a recent Eclipse that I absolutely LOVE! It has EMG 81/60. If it were my only dual humbucking guitar, I'd probably do the same as you (replace the pups with a pair of Lollars or TV Jones). But I have lots of dual bucker beauties so I figure that I should keep this one the way it is for variety. Besides, I do love the sound of the EMG's through my Marshall DSL and my Krank Rev. Jr. I sound just like Hetfield. (well, sort of)
Members Dyer2394
Zenbu, I know the build. Japanese ESP website has all that. I was saying I thought the 98 would have additional like years made and such. I figured it was "rare" because there was next to nothing about it on the internet..I've never seen one before and most people knee nothing of it. I appreciate the info. Members docjeffrey
^^^They certainly are rare on this side of the ring of fire. I've never seen one before.
Members zenbu
it does? I never visit the ESP site...nor have I been to the shop here in town for some time...the entire staff smoke like chimneys and everything smells like tobacco smoke in there...you should have listed what you knew about the guitar...or mentioned the web site had that info. You wanna know...how many were made? You can always contact the company they may tell you though in my experience over here most if not all companies keep that a secret, for what ever freakin reason. Flawless construction, great coil taps, only complaint is that it kind of lacks a real deep bottom end "balls" that i like, but that may be because of the alnico 2 pros in it... Members Radar-Love
I own a model-year 2000 ESP/LTD Eclipse that's semi-hollow that's almost exactly like yours. It's a very nicely made guitar that's all white with a set-in neck, creme binding, and gold hardware. I've only seen one other besides mine. And just as a side note curiosity, I own what is supposed the second-ever-made ESP/LTD Eclipse EC-256. It is a promotional item and has the "LTD" headstock logo buffed off. Serial number is something like E0000000002.
Members smorgdonkey
That's killer. Never seen one of those before. EG I second that...really different with the hollow and the 'hole' (it looks like the PRS hole{?})...and great move on the pickups IMO. I am not an EMG hater but really well made stuff is 'made for' passive pickups in my mind. I love ESP product generally speaking. I have had much of it and it is fantastic! I have an LTD 400 AT with a Lindy Fralin in the bridge and a WCR Crossroads in the neck...the thing is unreal.
Members Radar-Love
Was finally able to get a chance to take a look at the model number of my white ESP/LTD. It's an EC-300AT, like the one pictured below.
Members Steadfastly
I like the style of those guitars. The knurled knobs rather than the plastic ones are classy. How about a bigsby aw well?

Members newbuilder
Nice axe! Weird that it's a bolt on neck, but that's not a deal braker for me.
Members zenbu
For me, I have LP type guitars so I was after something that sounded different and it is very well made. I know a lot of people see a bolt on and flee...I used my ears.
