Got the Ampeg Super Jet today. Gotta love the stuff that St Louis Music was putting out back in the 90's. It turns out that this must have been one of the early models as it has EL34's in it!

It's smaller than I expected. It's bigger than my VC 2110 and smaller than my VC 3112.

Many years ago I had the opportunity to pick one of these up from a resale shop for $50. I'm still kicking myself for not doing it. Congrats!

$50???

I thought this was a bargain at $299! They only ended up charging $9 for shipping because the GC store they got it from did not get it out when it was promised. These sold for $599 new.

Looks pretty fancy. Anything more than about 4 knobs on an Ampeg and I don't know what to do with them all... but I don't think I've ever met an Ampeg I didn't at least like.

:thu:

controls:

volume

tone

intensity

speed

reverb

It had the original two button footswitch with it too!

Oh man! I had a chnace to pick up the 2x12 version of your amp back in 1995. I'm still kicking myself for not doing so!

Hindsight is always 20/20... I'm still wishing I had been able to keep my silver face deluxe reverb that I sold in the early '90s when I was out of work...

Thanks, Rick!

Did you get it all done??

Nah not yet, I've been working too much overtime.

I did stop at Lowes and picked up some pvc tubing so I can pull all the pots, etc through the f hole.
