Members Quarter
One of your's Quarter? I wish ... its an old school 30's model Richenbacker Frypan with a horse shoe pickup, arguably the first production electric guitar.

Of course he has one of those. That'll look great along side is 0001 strat and his fender broadcaster.

Members DaleH
What can't that guy play. He could play the wire on a barbed wire fence and make it sound good.

Members mockchoi
Does anyone know if he's always played a lap-steel type guitar for his slide parts? Because you're right, it sounds exactly like his parts on many songs.

Members EllenGtrGrl
Oh cool! A Rickenbacker Frying Pan lap steel!!! Adolph Rickenbacker would be proud of Gilmour! From what it sounds like in the YouTube vid, it looks like what I read about the horseshoe pickups in those things is true - they scream pretty good!! Members sk8centilli
My 82 year old grandpa, who is ridiculously cantankerous regarding anything outside of pre-1960 Nashville, loves lapsteel music (I am the current custodian of his beloved horizontal six string). I just sent this to him. I hope he likes it!
Members Mo' Cowbell
Gilmour! I might could learn a thing or two from that guy. Was that Richard Wright on keys?
Members mrbrown49
Gilmour! I might could learn a thing or two from that guy. Was that Richard Wright on keys? Gilmour was my first big influence when I started playing and that is Rick on keys. There are a bunch of other 'Barn' vids too! Great stuff. It's nice to see him play with out all the 'pomp and circumstance' of a full blown Floyd show.

In fact it was his lap steel playing that got me interested and hooked on lap steel to start with.
