I think I'd probably rather have a MIJ fender than even an MIA. they're basically perfect. I think the japanese are, as a culture, perfectionists and detail oriented and this translates into kick ass instruments. play some MIJ fenders and tell me I'm wrong.

Correct. I have to say though, some of the lacquer finishes on the MIA are nice. My Jag bass has a VERy thick poly finish, which I'm not so fond of (just the finish itself, the bass and the color matching are awesome)

Nope, I didn't know that Fender Japan makes a lot of models we can't get here in the states and I wish I hadn't seen these!!!!
