Members niceguy
I'm in the market for a low-wattage amp, strictly for recording purposes. I had a Picovalve on order, but I canceled it because I demoed it again and didn't like the darkness and lack of clean tone. The Blackstar HT-1 combo seems interesting. I'm searching the forums, but I'd like some fresh responses, too Seems like the HT-1 can yield clean tones all the way up to hard distorted tones. I know, it's a $250 amp, so it's not going to slay a Mesa. But I don't have $1000 for a Mesa. So, who's using it for recording? Thanks!
Members BeanoBoy
I use Amplitube and Guitar Rig for recording and love the options and instant access to cool tones but I'm intrigued by the HT-1R as well. Strats really seem to shine through the clean channel and 'bucker loaded guitars wail nicely with some overdrive, at least from what I hear on the internet clips I've heard/seen. I also dig the direct/speaker emulation jack that again, on the 'net seems happenin'. I'm joining Niceguy, anybody own one or try one yet?
