Members charveldan
What can you tell me about this LPC. I know it's a Norlin with pancake body [maybe?] http://www.gbase.com/powered/geardetails.aspx?dealer=cbb39d35-62bc-46e7-92a1-b341dc7a2351&item=2842693
Members onelife
I can't tell you about that guitar but I had a '78 Custom with the pancake body and one word comes to mind - HEAVY. It was a fantastic guitar with a great mellow jazz tone and it could snarl and growl. I played it through a Fender Twin with EVM12s. It too was heavy. Now that I think about it, for a small guitar and a small amp, they sure were heavy. The guitar was 12lbs and the amp 98lbs.

Members soundcreation
They say in the add it's "Lightweight" so that could be a check in it's favor. The only LP custom of that era I ever played live up to all the negative Norlin hype on the internet. It was quite simply one of the worst {censored}ing guitars I've ever played. If you can play it then maybe. But I wouldn't go near that thing with a 100K long internet connection, if you were considering ordering it online. Members onelife
I got to play mine in the store for several months before I bought it (new for $1100). It was well built and sounded great. At the time, I did not know the Norlins were supposed to be bad guitars and this particular one provided no evidence. Unfortunately, my LP Custom was stolen out of the back of a Honda Civic a couple of years after I bought it and I did not have a copy of the s/n. btw - I've been able to solve the back pain problems with a regular Yoga practice. Members soldierblue
It's a '78 so it most likely doesn't have a pancake body unless it was early in the year.

Cause the one I played was an 82 and I'm nearly positive I remember it having a pancake body.
