Members BushmasterM4
This looks fantastic. Right now I use the aux sends on my Mackie 1640i to feed mixes out to my live room. It works but its limited to 6 and I have to taylor the sound from the control room. I've been eyeing the "Hear and Aviom" systems, but they are pricey. This Behringer unit looks like it will blow them out of the water !!! Craig or anyone else been watching these ? Consists of the P16-1 unit the P16-M and if more than 6 headphone mixes the add the P16-D Here is a link. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/P16-I.aspx
CMS Author MikeRivers Posted December 22, 2011 CMS Author Share Posted December 22, 2011 At last year's NAMM show, it was a box on the table. Maybe they have it working this year. Their new digital mixer has been "on display" at the past two NAMM shows and as of this fall, they were still working on the software. I think 2012 will be the year of the 700 pound boombox for Behringer.

Members Anderton
Well, it obviously has a great deal of similarity to the Aviom system...seems the biggest differences are the cost, the logo, and the inclusion of the two ADAT ins, which is pretty clever. The only nit I would pick with the specs is when they say less than 1ms latency. I think that's taking into account the latency of going into the system, but not the latency that happens in the personal monitor mixers themselves when you go from digital back to analog. D/A conversion would add another 600 microseconds or so. Of course, not that 1.2ms is a big deal at all... Seems they're going through the FCC approval shuffle at the moment, so difficult to say when it will hit the world.
