Einstein Posted June 7, 2012 Members Share Posted June 7, 2012 The RIAA, and record companies are usurping copyright law and making there own rules by threatening to take legal action against people and entities, like youtube, even though there is no violation of copyright. There are fair use provisions for video and audio clips that allow anyone to use snippets of short duration, for education, commentary, rebuttal, entertainment (or entertaining commentary). RIAA and record companies can only go against people on the base of the law. The base of the law is the Rome Convention, and the Bern Concention, which both where signed by the USA, as well by every other nation. Then this was legislated onto laws in each country. So the law is what ever the judge says it is, for that time, on that day, in that case. There is no relationship here between law and justice... Similar to religion and god... Maybe you guys don't deserve anything better, or you all want it like that The rule here is when doing business with the USA you need an American lawyer, or you are screwed.
